Recently, my brother uberfrill14 got a GameInformer magazine that talked about a game called Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch.
Here's some info he found about it on Wikipedia:
The story of Ni no Kuni revolves around thirteen-year-old Oliver, a resident of Hotroit City, whose mother, Arie, suddenly dies after rescuing him from drowning. A doll, given to Oliver by his mother, is brought to life from his tears and reveals itself to be a male fairy named Shizuku, who gives Oliver a book that allows him to use the power of magic and enter the world of "Ni no Kuni," a reality parallel to his own. In Ni no Kuni, Shizuku says, Oliver may be able to find his mother, Arie. Using the newfound power of magic, Oliver and Shizuku venture into Ni no Kuni. There, he befriends Maru, Gyro, and other alternate versions of people (and animals) he knows.
Why am I telling you all about this? Because this game is made by Level-5... and STUDIO GHIBLI!!! Yes! The same anime company that made all my favorite anime movies is making a video game!!! I'm so excited! And my brother said he'd like to get this game just to let me watch him play it, cuz he knows I love Studio Ghibli!
Anyway, it comes out in 2013, so it'll be a while before my brother could get it for me, but I can wait!
